Beaver Plastics Styroblock Containers

Superior Seedlings
Your customers demand high-quality seedlings. Seedlings grown in Beaver Plastics Styroblock™ Container Growing System establish quickly and have maximum survivability in adverse conditions. Styroblock containers maximize productivity and control with a wide range of cavity designs and plant density to meet your most demanding requirements.

It's easy to see why Styroblock containers are the industry standard in silviculture nurseries.

High Performance
Engineered to withstand the root aggression of the toughest seedlings, incorporating all of the latest advances in container design, Styroblock containers give you every advantage available for containerized tree seedling production.
Mirror-Smooth Cavity Surface
With the mirror-smooth cavity surface produced by Beaver Plastics' sealed surface technology, plugs extract cleanly and easily. The mirror-smooth surface also simplifies container sanitation.
Thermal Protection
Expanded polystyrene is the material of choice for seedling trays. The insulating property of EPS lets your entire crop benefit from optimum root zone temperatures.
Disease Control
Volcano Vents promote faster foliar dry-down, reducing the chance of foliar disease. Large drain holes provide better drainage and aeration of the plug.
Uniform Root Distribution
The combination of vertical ribs that eliminate root spiraling, and round cavities with larger volumes, promote a uniform root distribution in the plug and in the field.
Easy Handling
Rugged Styroblock Containers are the containers of choice for both automated and manual handling. Styroblock containers are lightweight and will not cut hands or damage machinery.
Long Service Life
Ten-year-old Beaver Plastics Styroblock Containers are being used by nurseries.

Superblock™ Containers are the mainstay of Beaver's container growing system and the industry standard with smooth, tightly fused cavities, diverse configurations, and the lowest cost per seedling. Superblock containers are the most popular tray in silviculture nurseries.

Copperblock™ Containers are manufactured with Beaver Plastics' patented Differential Coating Technology. Differential (strip) coating gives growers all the lateral root growth expected from a copper enhanced root system, while at the same time allowing the right proportion of vertical root growth desired for a cohesive plug.

Copperblock containers work by inhibiting root elongation on contact with the copper lined strips on the container wall. Roots that come into contact with the non-copper regions of the cavity are directed downward. The combination of copper enhanced roots and non-copper enhanced roots gives a firm, balanced root system that is ready to grow.

The Styroblock Container System is flexible. Developed by professional foresters, researchers, forest nurseries, and Beaver Plastics, Styroblock containers have the ability to be modified easily and economically. If you have a novel container requirement, we can make it happen.
